Hey there! My name’s Em and I’m an event director, grant writer & photographer. I split my time between Berlin and Naarm / Melbourne.
I’ve been taking photos since I got my first camera as a toddling two year old, at a time when film was cheap enough that it didn’t matter if I only got focus every tenth time. I would constantly pester my mum to pose with seemingly random props*. To the relief of both my mum and soft toys, I prefer more of a candid style these days.
I love shooting portraits whether that be creative headshots or sweet mum and bub pics or artist artwork. I’m always down for a low-key wedding, celebration or little workshop too! I used to do newborn photography for one of those studios that churns through clients back to back, so I’m very good at working under pressure and getting a baby’s elbow to touch it’s knee (one of those seems more useful than the other). My photos have been published on book jackets, in magazines like Elle Girl Korea & Russh and used on posters plastered across the city. I love shooting across both analogue and digital and I’m always super happy to get weird! Tell me your vision and let’s make it happen.
My two truths and a lie are: I’m a speed dating host, I lived my teenage years with a back brace like Regina George and I ate my tits after they chopped them off. Gimme your best guess in the subject line!
